The event brought together faculty and students to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, celebrating his timeless ideals of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and selfless service.

About the Event

The program, anchored by Ms. Vidya Vincent, commenced with a warm welcome to all teachers and students. The event’s purpose was to honor Gandhian values and connect his teachings to contemporary global issues such as human rights, sustainability, and non-violence, aligning with the International Day of Non-Violence observed globally on October 2nd.

  • Dr. Tapan Nayak, Principal (UG Courses), concluded with a call for youth responsibility and social upliftment.

The event ended with a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and a group photograph, followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Vidya Vincent.

Outcomes

The celebration successfully deepened students’ understanding of Gandhian principles and their relevance in the modern world:

  • Strengthened awareness of Truth (Satya), Non-Violence (Ahimsa), and Self-Reliance (Swadeshi).
  • Inspired discipline, simplicity, and focus in students’ academic and personal lives.
  • Reinforced integrity, empathy, and unity as essential values for responsible citizenship.

Gandhi Jayanti 2025 at ISBR College was not merely a commemoration but a reminder that Gandhiji’s teachings continue to guide generations toward peace, equality, and moral strength.
