On behalf of ISBR Business School, Bangalore, an Alumni meet was organized at the institute as well as department level by the Alumni & Client Relations Team on September 5, 2021. The meet is an initiative by the student association, PlaceCom StratX, to reminisce memories and to provide a platform for sharing nostalgia and memories with the current batch. This month, the meet was attended by 13 alumni, who shared their beliefs and
memories with the current batch.
The event started with a quote from the host, which continued to be a beautiful ode to teachers, keeping in mind the theme and date of the event. Proceeding ahead, a shayari (short poetry) was dedicated to the alumni along with the welcome speech. The attendees also were given a visual treat by Mr. Manish Kothari, the founder and managing director of ISBR Business School which depicted that in happiness or sorrow, you always look back to your Guru (teacher). He also shared some pearls of wisdom by the medium of his speech. Following the inspiring speech, the attendees were indulged in some games. In the first game, they were divided into breakout rooms and asked to name their teams, after which they were supposed to choose a movie and give clues to the audience to guess the movie. The
teams came up with funny yet captivating names and continued on to enact which they guessed really quick. The second game that followed had a simple concept. Random alphabets will be called out and you get items which start from that letter. The alumni were very quick on their feet along with being innovative. Sooryashree shared that her husband helped her and the team invited her husband so everyone could give him a round of applause.
The participants happily agreed to play another round of the game. After the fun and frolic of the games, the alumni were asked about their funny and mischievous memories along with some tips that the current batch could follow as a part of their corporate life. This brought them together to share numerous memories where they gave a shout out for their teachers, Preeja Shridhar Ma’am and V.V. Rao Sir. The current batch was happy to have made acquaintance with the teachers during their orientation. Kirron Bindu Sir graced us with his presence and gave us a wonderful speech as well as announced the “Star Alumni of the Month.” The event was also graced by Anshitha Sharma, the VP of Alumni &
Client Relations who asked the alumni to always be a part of ISBR family. The event ended on a heartfelt vote of thanks.
The alumni gave everyone hope for a bright future. There was a pinch of nostalgia, abundance of good wishes and a bouquet of memories.
