Mr. Ewout de Wit is the consul general of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for southern India. He has worked as a policy coordinator in the Gulf States, Iran, North America, and the Middle East. The Clingendael Institute provided him with Diplomatic training for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also completed a PhD at Maastricht University.
Overview: Indo-Netherlands relations and business opportunities

The Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for Southern India, Mr. Ewout de Wit visited the ISBR business school UG and main campus on 14 th December, 2022. He arrived to UG campus by 10 AM. Aarti and tika ceremony was performed by the student volunteers of ISBR to welcome the guest of honour at UG campus. Further, the guest of honour received a warm welcome by director, UG campus, Dr. Tapan Nayak and director, ISBR, Dr. Lakshman Kumar at director’s room of UG campus, ISBR. Refreshments were offered. Then the honourable guest was escorted to UG auditorium, where welcome address was by director, Dr. Lakshman Kumar. Felicitation of honourable guest by director, UG campus, Dr. Tapan Nayak and director, ISBR, Dr. Lakshman Kumar.

Later, Mr. Ewout de Wit addressed the student crowd. He talked about the relationship between India and Netherlands. He made us aware about the opportunities available in Netherlands. He spoke about the education system in Netherlands. He discussed the collateral, political relations, economic development between India and Netherlands. He demonstrated the agricultural Advancements happening in India with the help of Netherlands to improve India’s Agricultural sector. It was followed by Q and A session.
Later, the honourable guest was welcomed at ISBR main campus, where he had a discussion
along with lunch with respected MD Mr. Manish Kothari, directror Dr. Lakshman Kumar and
International Office.

Learnings from the event: He made students aware about the areas they should be focusing on to
develop India’s GDP.
