Dr. Deepak: Brief Profile of Speaker: Professor, Accountancy
Abstract/Snapshot: We learnt how to prepare journal, ledger, trial balance, cash book, statement
of profit and loss, balance sheet and bank reconciliation statement.
Flow of event: We learnt through several case studies as to how to record transactions in journal,
ledger and trial balance. Using trial balance and adjustments we were taught to prepare final
accounts.

Using bank reconciliation statement, we were taught how to arrive at pass book
balance using cash book and vice-versa.
Learnings from the event: Accounting is the most essential part of an organization as it helps in
maintaining records and tracking financial performance.
Feedback from students: It was quite an informative session and hopefully we can have more of
such sessions.
