The entire PGDM batch (2014-2016) were really excited on hearing about our first industrial visit to OSTRICH MOBILITY INSTRUMENTS PVT. LTD. in Bangalore. The thought of learning something new from industry insiders on day 1 of our course made it even more exhilarating.
The entire batch got down from the bus and walked into the industry. There we first met the CEO of OSTRICH MOBILITY INSTRUMENTS Mr.Archi Serrao. We gathered around him with expectations to learn from his experiences and to take some valuable inputs from him. He welcomed us with a warm smile.
Mr.Archi Serrao started explaining about the entire set-up of the company. The company mainly manufactures automated wheel chairs for the disabled. He then gave us an insight into his business ideas, the products they manufacture etc… The entire company works on 3 mottos:
- Mobility for ability
- Mobility for mobility
- Mobility for sustainability
The most important part of the visit was the Q & A session with Mr.Archi Serrao. All of us had questions for him on various topics related to his business. He answered those questions without any hesitations and most importantly with a smile on his face. That gave us more energy and the hunger to ask more questions. Even though the session continued longer than expected, the smile didn’t vanish from his face.
