Bengaluru, India – The ISBR College Canteen transformed into a strategic battleground on August 13th and 14th, 2019, as undergraduate students gathered for an exciting chess tournament. The circular for the event was issued on August 9, 2019.
The tournament, which began at 3:00 PM each day , saw energetic participation from all UG course students. Players showcased their best performances, demonstrating their strategic prowess throughout the competition.
The event was smoothly managed by Faculty Coordinator Rajesh G, and student coordinators Krishnika, Shake Kalesh, and Sree Raj. They played a crucial role in assisting the players by clarifying chess rules, time regulations, and pawn point rules. The college leadership, including Principal Prof. Tapan Nayak and Administration Manager Mr. Lakshminarayan, along with all the faculties, were present to encourage the students throughout the tournament.
After intense rounds of competition, the tournament culminated in a thrilling final. The ultimate victor of the Chess Tournament was Keerthivasan, with Yeshvardhan securing the runner-up position.
The tournament not only provided a platform for students to showcase their chess skills but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship within the college community.
