A purposeful online guest lecture on “House Keeping-the use of 5S” was organised for the curious students of the 1st Trimester of PGDM BATCH 2020-2022. The speaker for the day was Mr. C N Uday Shankar who discussed and delivered best of the knowledge on the above topic. He explained the complex structure of it in simple terms, for example, where it was identified, that was Japan and how beautifully they have managed to escalate this philosophy by working upon how is “a place for everything and everything in its place” and this could be achieved by following the 5S

- Seiso – Shine
- Seiketsu – Standardize
- Shitsuke – Sustain
This insightful session threw light upon how display is an affective and effective way to promote good habits and ways to develop it for coming times. So, it can be benefitted to people around you for the long term with ease. Moreover, he named some sectors where usage of 5S is consistently done from printer copies shops nearby to manufacturing industry to private and public sectors to global companies through being organized, standardized, improving productivity, higher efficiency and to prone to less error. Also, he mentioned how we can consider these steps in our daily lives as well, be it in colleges, homes or schools. Sir, Also, gave us knowledge about the technology advancement for and of 5S. All in all, it was an illuminating session so far.
