Enhancing Financial Literacy in Tech: FPM Scholar’s Milestone

ISBR FPM Scholar Mrs. Supraja S Advances Research on Financial Literacy and Investment Behaviour in Bangalore’s IT Sector

ISBR Business School proudly celebrates a pivotal academic achievement by its Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) Scholar, Mrs. Supraja S (FPM 2020), who successfully completed her Pre-Synopsis Submission and Presentation on 19th April 2025 at the ISBR Business School.

Guided by Dr. Kanagaraj K, her doctoral research is titled “Financial Literacy and Investment Behaviour of IT Employees in Electronic City, Bangalore”, and explores a high-impact area at the intersection of financial education and behavioural economics. With Electronic City being one of India’s largest IT corridors, the study is both timely and relevant, addressing the growing need to understand how financial knowledge influences the decision-making of tech professionals.

The Research Advisory Committee (RAC) for the presentation included eminent academic reviewers:

  • Dr. Senthil Kumar, External Reviewer from Presidency University
  • Dr. Jhansi Rani M.R., Director of Research, ISBR Business School
  • Dr. Balaji, Associate Professor, ISBR Business School

Her study focuses on assessing financial literacy levels, identifying behavioural patterns in investment decision-making, and suggesting evidence-based strategies to improve financial outcomes among IT employees. As financial literacy gains increasing attention across sectors, especially in tech-driven cities like Bangalore, her research aligns well with the national agenda of financial inclusion and empowerment.

Pre-Synopsis Submission and Presentation

ISBR Business School extends heartfelt congratulations to Mrs. Supraja S and expresses gratitude to the research mentors and reviewers for their valuable insights and support. We look forward to the successful completion of her thesis and its potential to influence financial planning strategies, investment literacy initiatives, and policy frameworks within India’s growing IT ecosystem.
