ISBR Annual Convocation was held on Saturday, 16th April 2022. The venue was the sprouling NIMHANS Campus.
The Chief guest for the Convocation was the Hon’ble Shri K.K.Agarwal Chairperson, National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. Also in attendance were other dignitaries from the academic world, industries and the government apart from Chairman, Board of Governing council ISBR Bangalore, Prof. S. Sadagopan. Guest of Honors Dr.CA.I.S.Prasad, President, FKCCI, Mr. N. Venu, MD & CEO HITACHI Energy and Ms. Lathika Rai, Country Head, Microsoft Venture Capital & PE Partnerships, India.
This year a total of 364 students and scholars graduated, out of which 171 PGDM, 73 MBA, 22 Ph. D. and rest are BBA, LLB and M. Com, PG Diploma graduates.
The Convocation began with a majestic and grand academic procession followed by the Invocation Song sung by the students of the Institute.
The Director in his report touched upon the infrastructure developments in the campus and highlighted the new age campus and future growth strategies and plans. He emphasized the achievement of the long-cherished dream of the Institute, Faculty and student achievements. He also thanked the state government in supporting various development activities of the Institute.
The Director mentioned that the Institute has made considerable progress in Research and Development front in the last one year. A sizable funding received by the Institute through research and consultancy projects during the year. He also touched upon all the other salient developments including publications, collaborations & collaborative research, awards, distinguished visitors, student activities, placement etc.
Dr.Manish Kothari, Managing Director of ISBR Group of Institution in his inspiring speech mentioned that how ISBR is a student centric and develop students as a global leaders.
A scintillating medals and awards ceremony was also part of the Convocation with Mr. Yashu G being awarded the coveted Mr. Prakash Kothari Best student gold medal and a gold medal for his excellence in Finance domain. Followed by Ms. Doel Bhattacharya grabbing 2 gold medals for Excellence in HR domain and Shri. C. Mahalingam Memorial Gold medal. Several other medals and endowment awards were also distributed. ISBR also recognise students for their exemplary overall performance and award them GEMS of ISBR. The GEMS booklet was also release during the ceremony.
The graduates were awarded their certificates and Oath was given by the Director.
The students and the audience were then enthralled by the rousing speech of the Chief Guest, Shri K. K. Agarwal and he congratulated all the students. In his recorded brief and captivating address, he inspired the graduates, students and faculty of the Institute.
The Convocation ended with the Chairman’s declaration; Board of Governing Council followed by the National Anthem by the ASC Band.
