ISBR B School organized the industrial visit to Wipro for the students on 1st August 2017. The campus Manager of Wipro shared his insights on the corporate culture and the importance of professionalism to all the students. Pinnacle is the program that new recruits undergo to have a comfortable transition into the new corporate world. He distinguished the various aspects of communication on different parameters such as,
- Behavioral Traits
- Etiquettes and Manners
- Accountability and Responsibility
Few of our students, who had work experience, shared their experiences from their respective organizations.
Wipro Staff also spoke about the various facilities Wipro provides to its employees, who come from distant regions so that the employees feel happy to work there. Some of the facilities include- hospitality, apparel stores, grocery stores, Doctors, Pharmacy, Café Coffee Day, and other retail stores.
Along with the need of employees, Wipro also caters to the environment by Rainwater harvesting plant, Biogas plant, Vermicomposting plant, Sewage plant. Sewage plant was designed by the employees of Wipro.
Wipro is the first IT Company to have a Butterfly garden inside the campus and contributes to various CSR activities such as – recycling of waste paper and its distribution to underprivileged students. The learning outcome from the visit included being a responsible employee who holds ownership of everything he undertakes and inculcates good etiquette along with professionalism in one’s self.
