Abhinandana 2019

1st May which is celebrated as International Labor Day had a different meaning for a business school in Bangalore. International School of Business and research felicitated women on this day with various awards for achieving big milestones. Abhinandana is a platform where women’s hood is celebrated as they reach great heights in various fields. 

The award ceremony was commenced with lighting Lamps and Dr. Anandram (Senior Director, ISBR group of institutions) delivering the welcome address along with the felicitation of the chief guests of the event. Then the event was a flow with presenting the most awaited awards like Lifetime achievement award, Institutional award, Women of distinction awards and shining star Award. 

The chief guests of the event were Smt. Gangambika Mallikarjun (Worshipful Mayor, Bangalore), Mr. Sudhakar Shetty (President FKCCI), Mr. Chiranjiv Singh IAS, Prof. KR Venugopal (Vice-Chancellor, Bangalore), Mr. Manpreetsingh Sachdev (Vice president, IACC SIC), Ms. Michelle Wade (Commissioner to South Asia state govt. of Victoria). 

The lifetime achievement award was presented to Padma Shri Saalumarada Thimmakka (who was the special guest of Honor) for her outstanding achievement and contribution to the environment. She has planted over 8000 trees over a span of 80 years and at this young age of 106 years, she is still strong and is an inspiration for youngsters. Mr. Manish Kothari (Managing director, ISBR group of institutions) had presented this award. Mahila sabaleekarana prashasti the Institutional award was presented to COWE (Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs, Karnataka) for the empowerment of women. 

Women of distinction award was presented to Ms. Ashwini Nachappa (athlete), Ms D. Roopa IPS (Inspector-general of police), Ms Michelle Wade (Commissioner to South Asia state govt. of Victoria). Shining star awards were also presented to Ms. Sushma Desai, Ms. Pallavi Jain, Ms. Kanya Reddy, Ms. Bharathi Rajesh, Ms. Pushpa Latha, Ms. Anvitha, Dr. Sandhya Ravi, Dr. Priya Ranganath, Ms. Pushpa Gundi, Ms. Farzaana, Ms. Sushma Kanetkar, Ms. Asha Sampathm, and Ms. Supriya Kanetkar for their work and achievements. 

Shramaramba Awards were presented to Dr. Soumya Prakash, Dr. Kavya Shree and Ms. Garvita Gulhati for being Rising Stars and achieving success through self-reliance. The glittering event came to an end with the moment of joy and excitement of the awardees who are filled with emotions & thoughts which they had shared with us. The whole event was a great success in celebrating women achievement and the auditorium was filled with joy, leaving the Inspiration to the budding women entrepreneurs.
