Designing compensation and benefits for new talent

Brief Profile of Speaker:
Ms. Shreya Dhargalkhar
She is currently working in Amazon Web series, Ireland as a recruiter for Europe, Middle East Africa handling end-to-end recruitment cycle and onboarding procedures. She is an HR Executive in Khush Housing Finance Pvt. ltd Mumbai, working in recruitment, operations, training, and employee engagement. She has done her master’s in human resource management from the national university of Ireland in 2020 and worked as an
HR Intern in Mahindra First Choice, Mumbai, and Galway development services, Ireland. And she had done her bachelor’s in Human resources from Mumbai University in 2018.

The session started at 11.15 am with a formal welcome note by the Head of the department, Dr. Savitri Jayant. Ms. Binita gave the formal introduction of the guest speaker who then took over the session.

Learnings from the event: The session started with a short introduction of the students. Then she showed the salary slip and how it is designed in the companies with the basic pay and the various allowances. The speaker then talked about various importance of compensation like how it,

The speaker also explained in detail the basic compensation structures from base pay, special allowance, conveyance allowance, gross salary, provident funds, ESIC, etc. She then specifically talked about the Amazon base pay structure and how they offer various compensation to their employees from base pay, variable pay, sign-on payments, etc. She then shared specific benefits of India and Europe and how the benefits changes from each geographical location.
