FPM Milestone Achieved: Supraja S Defends Thesis on Financial Literacy
ISBR Business School is delighted to announce a major academic milestone achieved by Mrs. Supraja S (Reg. No. FPM04-2020), a dedicated scholar from the Fellow Program in Management (FPM) 2020 cohort. She has successfully submitted her doctoral thesis, followed by her public Viva Voce defense.
Her research, titled “Financial Literacy and Investment Behavior of IT Employees in Electronic City, Bangalore”, delves into a pressing topic in modern financial management, with valuable implications for personal finance and corporate wellness.

Guided by Dr. Kanagaraj K, Head – ICQ and Associate Professor at ISBR, and evaluated by Dr. B. N. Sivakumar, Professor at NSB Academy, the thesis explored the dynamic interplay between financial knowledge and investment choices among IT professionals.
Key Research Insights:
Financial literacy emerged as a powerful predictor of investment decisions.
High risk tolerance correlated with preference for high-return financial instruments.
Digital financial literacy played a crucial role among younger investors using fintech tools.
Financial Self-Efficacy (FSE) was identified as a key mediating factor influencing financial behavior.
