Strengthening Global Ties: ISBR-Lamar Academic Alliance
At ISBR Business School, international collaboration is more than a strategy—it’s a commitment to shaping globally competent leaders. In a recent initiative to broaden academic horizons, ISBR’s leadership team engaged in a constructive dialogue with Dr. Joby John, Dean and Professor of Marketing, College of Business, Lamar University, USA. This marked the beginning of a high-potential academic collaboration aimed at cultivating innovation, pedagogical excellence, and global exposure for students and faculty.
Innovation Across Borders
1. Joint & Online Learning Modules
As a foundational step, both institutions proposed online and joint classes. These will include guest lectures and credit-based modules taught by Lamar University faculty. Through blended learning, ISBR students will engage in real-time, cross-border academic interactions, fostering global perspectives.
2. Faculty Shadowing for Pedagogical Excellence
The concept of faculty shadowing was introduced to enable teaching staff from ISBR and Lamar to learn from each other’s classroom strategies. This initiative aims to enhance teaching methodologies and foster continuous faculty development.
3. Course Co-Development: AI & Blockchain
In alignment with technological advancement, a joint course on Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain is under consideration. Co-developed and co-delivered by both institutions, this course will equip students with future-ready digital skills essential for the modern business landscape.
4. Collaborative Teaching for Curriculum Enrichment
The proposal to co-teach existing courses through joint instruction or guest lectures ensures that students benefit from diverse academic insights and multicultural exposure.
5. Global Case Study Creation
ISBR and Lamar plan to co-author contemporary business case studies reflecting real-world global challenges. These cases will enrich classroom engagement while contributing to scholarly research.
Paving the Way for a Broader Partnership
These initiatives represent the initial phase of a broader strategic alliance. Future possibilities include student and faculty exchange programs, collaborative research, and joint academic ventures. ISBR remains committed to turning these discussions into measurable academic impact.
“This collaboration reflects our vision of a globally integrated academic ecosystem,” said the ISBR leadership team.
The journey toward a dynamic and inclusive academic alliance has begun—and the outcomes promise to be transformative for all stakeholders.
ISBR Business School: A Gateway to Global Learning
As ISBR Business School explores this partnership with Lamar University, the goal is clear—nurture globally aware leaders through meaningful academic collaboration. By blending expertise, innovation, and trust, this partnership stands to redefine global education in the AI-driven era.
