Immersive NIE Workshop Sparks Future Journalism Leaders

Empowering Young Minds with Media Literacy and Creative Expression

At ISBR Business School, we believe that great communication is the foundation of leadership. This belief resonated deeply at the recently concluded Times NIE Summer Training Programme at St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School, Bengaluru. Over 130 bright young students from various schools participated in this two-week immersive journalism workshop—culminating in a celebration of creativity, storytelling, and 21st-century learning.

Our own Dr. Manish Kothari, President of ISBR, was honored to be the Chief Guest, where he addressed the students on the importance of good communication, seizing opportunities, and chasing dreams.

Training Tomorrow’s Media Leaders

The workshop featured sessions that immersed students in the world of reporting, editing, feature writing, layout design, and publishing. Participants worked in teams to transform their ideas into news articles, opinion pieces, and creative media projects—mirroring the fast-paced demands of the modern newsroom.

“Good communication is the key to opportunity. Dream big, communicate better, and seize the moment,” said Dr. Kothari, President of ISBR Business School, during his keynote.
