Promoting Inclusive Opportunities for People of All Abilities
A team of 22 dedicated student volunteers from ISBR Business School actively participated in Job Habba—a transformative job fair focused on creating inclusive employment opportunities for physically challenged candidates. This impactful initiative was held at Kutchi Bhavan, Bangalore and brought together passionate students, inclusive employers, and inspiring job seekers to foster a more equitable job market.
The volunteers donned their event T-shirts and took up critical roles such as managing registration desks, escorting candidates to interview panels, supporting sign language communication, handling logistics, and aligning resumes with company profiles.
Experience in Inclusive Event Volunteering
As part of the Job Habba volunteering effort, students were not only logistical supporters but also emotional pillars for candidates navigating a competitive yet accommodating hiring environment. By ensuring smooth registration, facilitating communication, and easing venue navigation, volunteers became instrumental to the success of the event.
Key responsibilities included:
Assisting at the registration desk
Guiding candidates to inclusive companies for interviews
Assisting with parking and general mobility support
Supporting resume matching and interview scheduling
Providing emotional support and encouragement
