With the rapid surge in the sports industry, India is proving to be a prosperous sports ecosystem in the near future. Gone are those days when India was considered underdogs especially in the field of sporting culture and ecosystem. There were days, when a majority of the Indian population framed sports as secondary and a hobby. But a slow transition has turned the nation into a sport loving nation. In the present-day scenario, though cricket upholds its dominance, other sports have also made huge impacts and have grown drastically. With people realizing the importance of sports, fitness and various sporting activities, the market has opened up for a variety of leagues, tournaments and competitions at the highest level. With athletes and sports reaching a premium level, it is necessary to have a proper systematic sports management system in place. 

Sports management will bring in the professionalism in various facets related to sports in terms of sports marketing, sports operations, sports journalism, sports branding, venue management, athlete management, sports PR, sports agent, sports media management, sports advertising, sports budgeting, sports event management, etc. With sports managers and management in place, the sporting ecosystem will turn out to be more polished in an effective and a professional way.

Eligibility

Any Graduate from recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) in the qualifying examination.

A high score in the ISBR aptitude test / GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ NMAT/ATMA/KMAT/PGCET

Selection Process

Students are assessed as per their academic accomplishments and co-curricular activities, for a career in IT industry, students are required to have excellent communication skills along with high competency in aptitude, logic solving abilities ease with handling numbers etc, which is mandate for securing admission in ISBR. The aspirants need to go through the following process before their admission confirmation at ISBR:

HR Responsibilities

• At the professional level, the sports manager is responsible for hiring and firing athletes

Management Duties

• For professional teams, sports managers work with coaches and trainers to be sure each athlete has the training resources he needs to be the best at his position.

The Business of Sports Management

• Each season, the sports manager plans the budget, taking into account potential revenues, operating costs and salaries of everyone from the athletes to coaches to staff members.

Marketing and Promotions

• Often times, the sports manager acts as the face and spokesperson for the team and must conduct interviews and press conferences with the media.

ISBR offers a variety of scholarships for meritorious and deserving candidates who wish to pursue their Master’s at ISBR. Scholarships are offered as fee waivers upto 100% full ride.
