Through an exciting opportunity beyond their academic curriculum, students from ISBR Business School had an insightful industrial visit to the TITAN Watch Company located in the SIPCOT Industrial area, Hosur. This visit provided a unique opportunity to explore the intricate processes involved in manufacturing and assembling world-class timepieces.
The visit began with an extensive guided tour of TITAN’s state-of-the-art manufacturing, production, and assembly units. Students got a firsthand look at the various stages of watch production, from raw material processing to final product assembly. The tour highlighted TITAN’s commitment to precision engineering, innovation, and quality control, giving students a practical perspective on large-scale manufacturing.
A key highlight of the visit was witnessing the advanced automation and high-tech machinery that drive TITAN’s production efficiency. Students observed the meticulous craftsmanship involved in watchmaking, including the intricate detailing, assembly of components, and rigorous testing procedures ensuring superior product quality.
After the tour, students participated in an interactive session led by TITAN’s Plant Operations Head. This session provided an in-depth overview of the company’s legacy, growth journey, and its expansion into various sectors beyond watches, such as eyewear and precision engineering. It also shed light on TITAN’s robust supply chain network, logistics management, and sustainability initiatives, offering valuable insights into real-world industry applications.
The visit significantly enhanced students’ understanding of industrial operations, reinforcing ISBR’s motto: Real World. Real Learning. By directly engaging with TITAN’s production environment, students bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical execution, gaining valuable exposure to contemporary manufacturing and supply chain strategies.
